The energy was palpable at this year’s TraveTech Show, and it was an absolute pleasure to reconnect with old friends and partners, as well as forge new connections that we are excited to nurture moving forward. As we reflect on the incredible time we had at the conference, it’s clear that the event was a remarkable success – for Pax2pay and the broader Travel community.
The Pulse of Innovation: Main Themes of the Conference
Four key themes underscored conversation at this year’s conference:
- The Future of Payments: Industry leaders explored the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of payments, from the need for local payment methods, to the integration of AI in financial systems. The focus was on creating more secure, efficient, and profitable payment solutions that meet the demands of an increasingly competitive industry.
- Personalising Experiences Through Technology: Another significant theme was how technology can be leveraged to deliver highly personalised experiences. Speakers shared insights on using data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies to tailor services and products to individual customer needs, creating more engaging and satisfying customer journeys.
- The use of cash may be up, but VCCs are still king: The use of cash has risen among consumers for the first time in a decade. However, card payments are still the number one choice. Predominantly because of interchange sharing programs offering a cash incentive for use, the robust security surrounding them, and because they streamline reconciliation.
- More is more when it comes to payment methods: One thing we heard again and again, from delegates and speakers alike, was that when it comes to payments, people and businesses want optionality. It’s no longer a one-size fits all world – leveraging a blend of payment methods such as Virtual Cards, Bank Transfers, Invoice Payments, BNPL etc. is the way forward. But be careful not to over extend yourself by partnering with tens of suppliers and having to manage them all. Keep your eyes peeled for one supplier to help you manage them all, and keep your operations running smoothly.
Our Contribution to the Conversation
Pax2pay was proud to contribute to the conference dialogue – Chief Sales Officer, Tony Hart discussed #TheFutureOfPayments alongside a powerhouse panel of Travel and Payments experts (Beatrice Bouju, Outpayce from Amadeus; Henry Swarbrick, Stripe; Stephen Quinn). Sharing key insights into the power of payments to drive change, how businesses can harness cutting-edge payments technologies to stay ahead, and how optionality is king.
Exploring the Future: The Tech Tour
We also participated in the Tech Tour, led by Head of Account Development, Jens Jacobsen, who provided an in-depth overview of the Pax2pay platform, and how it is revolutionising the way Travel Businesses handle their payments, by offering a robust, flexible, and scalable solution. The tour demonstrated how Pax2pay’s Virtual Card solution works, its numerous benefits, and why it is quickly becoming a go-to choice for companies looking to optimise their payments.
A Toast to New Connections: Happy Hour at the Pax2pay Stand
One of the highlights for us was hosting Happy Hour at our stand. It provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with attendees in a more relaxed setting, fostering conversations and collaborations. It was great to see so many like-minded professionals coming together to share ideas and insights – over a much needed refreshment after a long day of pacing around the ExCel!
